About the author

I’m a mom whose daughter taught her to see magic in everyday things and whose absence now shapes everything I do. I arrived late to parenting and even later to grief, but I remain a seeker of community, bliss, and purpose. I advocate for trees and kindness, and hope to be #JessInspired in all I do.

Remembering Jessica

Careful as a Moondrop is the blog I created to gather everything I’ve written about my daughter, Jessica, since she died on October 17, 2024. Originally posted on my personal Facebook; I collected them there so people who don’t use Facebook can still read along.
The name comes from a favorite #StuffMyGirlSays—when Jess was six and I told her to be careful, she said, “I’ll be as careful as a moondrop!”
